Minnesota marathoner: 'I'm going to die in my tennis shoes'

Joy Johnson, an 86-year-old Minnesota native, passed away a day after her 25th New York City Marathon.

what a way to go out! She did it her way, and very impressed with a sub 4 hour time at age 65. When you read her story, you have no excuse not to find some form of exercise.

Everything about this is perfect. Really fast time to break 4 hours ...and really so at 65. And determination and health to the last day of her life. What a motivator she is...blessings.

Ironic. You exercise to improve fitness. Train, recover, repeat. Her doctor may say fitness is good but perhaps the strain of a 7hr race is too much? She did pass away immediately after such a race.
