Seven real-looking replicas of the world-record rack, from a deer illegally killed in 2009, will be displayed across the state.

It's an awesome rack. It is strange though that the DNR feels it cannot protect the original for display. $20 million plus and priceless original pieces of art are safely exhibited. I would agree about profiting from an illegal act if the proceeds went to the criminal. No one would be hurt now if multiple artificial mounts were sold as long as they were clearly marked.

"The massive antlers are unlike anything seen in Minnesota."......Garbage statement...Deer like this roamed the prairies and woodlands long before the White man destroyed it for farm land and timber harvesting...Likely even larger and more frequent...

The massive antlers are unlike anything seen in Minnesota. And the half-million hunters out Saturday on Minnesota’s firearms deer opener almost certainly won’t see a whitetail like it this season — or in their lifetimes. Only in their dreams. Poorest lead ever. We know one rack, the rack itself, was seen in Minny. And why squash hunter aspirations on the eve of the opener with presumptuous, only in your dreams/never gunna happen, blather.
