I am glad I read this article which I found quite enlightening and which provided considerable insight into the GM's mind. I can only conclude that the problem with this team has now been identified.

There's absolutely no need to change a thing on this team as long as people fill the stadium and buy jerseys, pay for parking and overpriced concessions... How do you think billionaires stay billionaires??? Isn't it written down somewhere that a fool and his money are soon parted? So who's the fool?

Yeah, Spielman is a great evaluator of talent at the QB position. TJack and Ponder have been brilliant. One word.....Mariota!

This is great. Keep Spielman, Frazier and Ponder. Signed, Green Bay Packers fans everywhere.

The Vikings ship is taking on water and Rick does not have a bucket big enough to bail it out before it sinks.

"Leslie Frazier is not going anywhere."...Neither are the Vikings.

Of course Spielman backs Frazier, but who backs him? Spielman has been tossing draft picks away like one dollar bills at a strip club since he's been here: a first and two thirds for Allen (when no one thought any team would give anymore than a first or high second round pick for him and his alcohol history); a fourth-round pick to move up and draft Tyrell Johnson; a third-round pick to move up and draft Toby Gerhart; a fourth-round pick to needlessly move up and draft Harrison Smith in the first when he would have been there for them in the second; and then last year's master stroke of trading half your draft picks away to draft a WR that the coaches can't even get on the field. Just think about that: Shouldn't there already be a plan in place on how best to utilize a player on the field BEFORE you give up four draft picks for him?!? Moreover, everyone and their mother knew Ponder was at best a third-round caliber talent but Spielman apparently. He was a joke in Detroit, Chicago and Miami before he came here. Spielman's still a joke, and he's the problem.

Where are we going, and why are we in this handbasket? Signed, the Viking faithful.

1) If Spielman doesn't know how to evaluate a QB (Ponder), how can he be trusted to evaluate coaching prospects if Frazier is ever fired? 2) Spielman says: "But that’s our goal and right now I’m not worried about that." What he ought to be worried about is his team winning yet another meaningless game so to knock them out of the Bridgewater/Mariota sweepstakes just as they did a few seasons ago when they won a meaningless game against Washington which in turn precluded them from receiving all those additional draft picks in the RG3 sweepstakes.
