In other news, 80 million honorable gun owners didn't hurt anyone this week.

And now the NRA will say we need to arm everyone who comes to the airport because that is the only thing that "Stops a Bad Guy is a Good Guy with a gun!"

80 million gun owners may be honorable, but their arsenals are all too often tragically involved in suicides and accidental shootings. The NRA has done its best to repress research into these dangers, but they remain a serious risk for gun owners, their families, and the people with whom they associate.

@wa0tda ---- Good points. I also don't question the fact that most gun owners are honorable and actually care about the carnage that takes place around the country. Sorry to say I think those same gun owners have zipped up their mouths and refused to fight the NRA and it's clones as they block any and all legislation aimed at trying to cut down on the number of tragedies we seem to read about daily. I'm not a gun owner so these honorable people think I want to take their guns from them which is far from where I'm at on the subject but lack of action on the issue will drive people like me to join those who want to stop all gun sales period. Come on folks if you are honorable, use your noggins to come up with a solution acceptable to all of us and the heck with the NRA and its clones. Sacks cartoon is pretty much on target as we have seen even those states that are gun-loving states suffer from this killing gun-fire.
