My name is Lefty Gomezski and I want to be your next Mayor. I support a minimum wage in Minneapolis of $30/hour with six weeks of paid vacation to start, going up to ten weeks after one year of service. I want no one in Minneapolis to be rich, so I support a wealth tax of 100% on net worth over $100,000. I want everyone to have free health care and not even have to pay for aspirin. I want free buses for everyone to get to and from work, and everywhere else; no one will need those awful polluting cars when I'm Mayor. I want taxpayer paid abortion until the last second before delivery; supporting anything less is a "War on Women." I want to declare Minneapolis a nuclear-free zone, and not have nuclear weapons based anywhere in our city. I want the achievement gap to be eliminated by ending all grading and standardized testing in our public schools; no kid is any smarter than any other, and saying otherwise is elitist and racist. When my proposals are enacted into law, no one will flee the city, just like Gov. Dayton said that no one would leave Minnesota if the top income rate were raised to 14%. If the real truth came out, I am supported by the editorial board of this newspaper. Peace, love, and Kumbaya, and I ask for your first choice vote next Tuesday.

Mark left out a few things on his tenure as HC Commissioner. He advocated for HERC saying if there were any problems they would close it down but when lead poured into our city he blamed it on batteries. Later, Mark was under federal investigation for allegations that union money paid for plumbing work at his home. A vote for Mark is like voting for Romney. Just say NO.

Please don't vote for Hodges. She paid hundreds of thousands of dollars of tax payer money to provide false data to smear our fire fighters as lazy and taking the city for a ride. All so she could justify cutting staff for one of the essential services this city provides. Fire fighters have saved countless lives in this city, they are the first to respond to medical emergencies in most cases and the first to respond to fires. Please support them by Not Voting for Hodges.

Cam Winton sounds like a; smart, energetic, level headed, reform minded guy who would be a breath of fresh air.

Dan Cohen is the only candidate speaking truth about the Vikings stadium scam.

This is another sign that the Startrib is lazy and out of touch with MPLS. Jackie cherryhomes in the top six? Only because the aging too comfortable strib editorial board thinks so. If they ever slummed it with real MPLS voters instead of knocking back expensive Chablis with the elites, they would see how candidates like Bob Fine are surging. This is not you fathers old guard election.

Samuels, Winton and then someone way down ticket to give one less vote to the other major candidates. Sound like a plan?

If you are a person who cares about the environment, social justice, equality, workers rights, community safety, growing inequities between those at the top, health care, education, jobs and city budget issues Betsy Hodges should get your vote.
