he's a talented player and we will need his skills at receiver for the rest of this season and three more!

What a class act and great example of the kids Kill is bringing to the program. Donovahn, we're happy to have ya! Looking forward to watching you win.

Glad to have Donovahn in MN! He's a star and I can't wait to watch his career over the next few years.

A top SEC prospect chooses the U of M above all else. I guess that pendulum is slightly started to move.

This guy plays fast! If we start recruiting more like him we will compete in the Big Ten. Once Kill puts together a winning conference record the top recruits will come.

If you look at the number of QB's that make it into the Pro's it is VERY small. With his speed and once he learns the position, he'll have a much better chance at receiver then he would have as a QB. Hopefully he'll be an OUTSTANDING WR who can also throw the ball which will drive DB's crazy. Run up to tackle him and he can throw the ball. Stay back with the receivers and he'll run into the end zone. I can't wait to watch it.

This is the type of players that the Gophers need to continue to recruit and sign...speed and quickness. Plus, he wants to be here, realizes that QB is not the position for him, wants to stay at WR and becomes a better WR. Yes, I agree with Money2. Do a Jet Sweep and put an option for him to throw it over the top if the safety and DB come up to stop it.

Donovahn looked impressive last week against Nebraska. He's a player they obviously want to find ways to get the ball to. The jet sweep seems to be the most effective way right now, as he is still making the transition to being a full-time receiver. He'll be even more effective as he becomes a better route runner. The thing that really stuck out to me last week was his ability and willingness to block downfield. Nelson had a long run on a broken play, during which I saw Jones taking his guy out of the play 25 or 30 yards downfield. That kind of effort will get him on the field more and more.

He looked awesome out there today! I watched him today and said, "Wow, where did he come from? Why havent I seen him until now?" He has some speed! A great weapon to have. Made some guys look silly with his speed. Im excited to see what he can do in the future. Go Goph!

Right on cue, Jones delivers with 59 yards on 3 catches, including a critical 3rd down conversion on the last scoring drive. The future is bright for this young man.
