Not so frightful Halloween

Abel Lee, 4, of St. Paul, right, was decked out in a Power Rangers outfit as he waited for the gates to open to start his trick-or-treating at the governor’s residence in St. Paul on Thursday. Aurelia Wyler, 2, above right, was dressed as a scarecrow as she walked to the next treat table. Above, Justen Pohl was a surefire hit as the Norse god of fire at the American Swedish Institute’s “Cocktails at the Castle: Loki’s Halloween Bash.” As Halloweens go, the weather wasn’t too bad — a little wet with temperatures in the mid-40s. Nothing to compare to the infamous Halloween blizzard of 1991, which brought trick-or-treating to a screeching halt.
