Rand:  This Vikings season already ranks among the worst

The Vikings season is not quite half over, or it is already over, depending on how you want to look at it. Road games at Dallas, Seattle and Green Bay loom in three of the next four weeks, threatening to turn something already bad into something even worse. As it stands, though, this is already one of the five most disappointing Vikings season in their 50-plus years of existence. Here is our list:

While this may be the worst season ever, after 50+ years and not one Super Bowl to show for it does this season really matter? And do the Wilfs even care?

I'd hate to think of 98 as an overall disapointment, but that was like having a giant wrapped Christmas gift sitting in your living room all winter long only to open it and be completely empty.

Yeah, the Wilf's care, but they don't know how to fix it. They aren't football people. Wilf would need to make a competent decision at GM, and then the GM would make him look good. They have spent a bundle trying to win. That obviously isn't the problem otherwise the Vikings wouldn't be in dire straits with their salary cap!
