BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Hoosiers aren't complaining about college football's quirky schedule this season. They used a second bye week to their advantage, and the timing couldn't have been better.

Only in Minnesota would we rush the field after beating the #25 ranked team in the country. Could you imagine Ohio St. fans doing that??? And that mentality is what separates us from the Ohio St, Wisconsins, and Michigans of the world. Act like you've been there before. Ugh this Loserville USA thing is frustrating.

@zerotrophies: you are correct, the Huskers were only ranked #25 but that is a team we have not defeated in 53 years. There was much more to fans rushing the field than just a win over a #25 team. This was a program-changing win. That is a huge weight off the players' shoulders and a great confidence builder. I felt this and apparently the fans who stormed the field felt it . . . anyone who has played organized sports in their life could feel it. These players are starting to believe in their ablilities. I am pretty excited for the future of this program. Ski-U-Mah!

Note that this was not your fathers Nebraska team. That program is Nebraska in name only. A program-changing win is beating Alabama, Ohio St, Oregon, etc. If we continue to set the bar low around here, our teams will continue to be content collecting participation ribbons. Don't just beat a team like Nebraska, beat them by 4+ TD's. Until then, the Gophers won't sniff the Rose Bowl. Just enough = loser mentality.
