I never dreamt this team could be this good, this soon. It seemed like it would be an exciting year with lots of new freshmen who might sometime develop into a championship caliber team. It's early in the year, but you can see that this group is special, with some really outstanding sophomores, juniors, and senior leadership. Let's see how far they can go.

Best Freshman class ever. I just can't understand why the Power Play isn't working.

Thankful for the Gophers and the Wild. Let's send the Vikings packing. They are simply not worth a dime of subsidy.

Excellent weekend Boys! I know it's early, but I have to say that thus far I am impressed. While this edition of the Golden G's might not have the names and maybe overall talent level of the previous 2 seasons, I am thinking that this just might be a better TEAM then either of them. Keep up the hard work guys, I will be pulling for you all of the way!! SKI-U-MAH!!!

Talent is wonderful for sports writers and commentators, but hustle, out skating your opponent/first to the puck wins games.... talent doesn't hurt... awesome win

IMHO this team passes the puck around better than the team of the past three years. They are looking good!

Great game, and the freshman are doing fantastic. Need to shore up the defense a bit (Holl should definitely go back to forward), but this team should only improve as the season progresses. Playing like an experienced team so early in the year is awesome.

I wish I could have watched it. It was a stinky move to go to the Big 10 cuz I don't get games on TV anymore. Living in Seattle, I use to get games every weekend. But now? Heck no, I am a slave to the absolutely worthless Big 10 Network. Thanks Gophers, I wish I could have seen this great game.

dexterjibs - the game today was on FSN, not BTN. Fun game to watch. Wilcox had a much better game today. He just had that stretch in the 1st period on Friday that he really struggled. Other than that he was solid.
