Star Tribune's Neal elected Baseball Writers president

ST. LOUIS – La Velle E. Neal III, who has covered the Twins for the Star Tribune for 16 seasons, on Saturday was elected president of the Baseball Writers Association of America at the organization’s annual World Series meeting.

Sure hope it doesn't come with a bigger buffet allowance. Listen, LEN III, from your readers and friends in the Twins community, PLEASE do something about your weight before you're no longer around to preside over the BWAA or follow the Twins. Each year, it gets worse. Seriously, take that step NOW...before it's too late. Lean, free-range meats, wild-caught fish, nuts and grains, organic dairy (if you need it), no refined carbos, moderate amounts of nuts and grains, plenty of vegetables, some temperate fruits, and whole foods in general. It's time, LEN III. It's time, buddy.
