Only the Vikings would rush to pick up a QB that was dumped by the 0-7 Buccaneers. No surprise that no other team wanted him...

Wow. Your starter is cleared to play, but won't . The previous starter isn't mentioned, and the 3rd stringer is now the starter. What does Jennings have to say about all this?

IF will not watch Christian Ponder. Even if he plays well tomorrow and the next few weeks, I will NEVER watch Ponder again. This will be the first Sunday I haven't watch the Vikes since the Bollinger days.

Vikings are the joke of the sporting world. They have no clue what they are doing.

If Freeman is cleared to practice, he should start Sunday night. A player should not lose his job because of injury, only if the replacement is an upgrade. And isn't that why Ponder lost his job in the first place? Start Freeman, everyone is sick of Ponder.

Return to practice is not the same as return to the game. Freeman should participate initially in limited non-contact practice drills and see if any symptoms return. Then more intense non-contact practice. Then he could go to contact practice and again look for symptoms. FInally, he would be cleared for full contact play.

Freeman never should have been in that game. The brass rushed him in act of desperation. The scenario was designed to fail. Give him at least 2 more weeks of practice.

Queue the circus music.. upon starting, send in the undersized car from which the entire coaching staff emerges. The lights dim, with the audience's faces aglow in a ring of fire which encompasses GM Rick Spielman, who announces to the crowd that we are in for the most remarkable NFL show on earth (just like the past two games), "Behold! This is your Minnesota Vikings!"

No matter if Freeman should have started so soon or not and how bad he played he's still better than Ponder or Cassell. Blame Spielman for this mess. memmo to Wilfy..FIRE SPIELMAN!

So far too much has been made out of switching quarterbacks. Ponder gets replaced because he has a broken rib near his heart. Cassel got replaced after playing very bad and you have to replace him for that because you know he is about as much of the Vikings future plans as Sage Rosenfelds. Now Freeman gets the hook with concussion symptoms after completing only 20 for 53. I don't think the coaches have done a good job at all this year but the quarterback changes are only a big deal to people who want to make a big deal out of it. That would especially include Packer fans. It's just a way to pile more onto an already bad situation. Some people are going to enjoy that.
