To be frank, Chris, the Vikings need a new QB more than they need Ponder to win one game. This season is done. Worse, the QB carousel has signaled to the team and the league that Spielman and Frazier are desperate, impulsive and incompetent. They've lost the locker room, and veterans won't risk their necks for a lame duck front office and coaching staff when they know a new staff is coming next year. Enough with the "nice guy" talk too; Frazier is a lousy coach and deserves to be fired.

I am afraid the Ponder of last year is gone...along with Harvin. I think the loss of Harvin has exposed Ponder as a QB who can't throw to WR's. While Harvin might have been classed as one they seldom used him as one. Most of Ponders passes to Harvin were dumpoffs, now that option is gone. He is required to throw the whole speard of passes and he can't...or won't do it. When he finally decides to throw, the window is closing and only passes requiring circus catches are available to him. He usually hangs the receiver out to dry on them and yards after catch are zero with Ponder.

There can't be one fan out there that thinks we have a chance is there? Ponder or not the problems on this team go all the way to the front office and then some........

rondo: I don't think the Vikings have a chance, Rodgers is too good, but I do think Ponder has a chance to surprise people. Some guys would rather be two shots behind than two shots ahead going into the final round and Ponder's no longer the leader in the clubhouse.

We can't look at last year, last week, or any game that happened prior to this. The Vikings have issues on every level, but as a Vikings fan, if they defeat the Packers, the season isn't a total loss. In fact, beat the Packers twice, and the Bears once, go 4-12, and what the heck.

I won't be comfortable watching the Vikings until Ponder is just a bad memory. Release this guy, already! The Wilfs paid Childress for a couple of years (incidentally, demonstrating the Wilfs complete cluelessness about football management talent), but they can't get rid of the major disappointment that is Ponder? I'm so sick of hearing "we have to play better", that I will find something else to do on gameday if there's even a chance that he will get his hands on a football.

Every real football fan know's Spielman freaked and grabbed Ponder in the draft way before anyone else would...he was desperate...that's what bad GM's do...wait until the last minute, never have a back up plan...they live week by week, day by day...the Spielman way :)

when the H will you rubes realize Ponder doesn't have the physical tools to be a successful NFL QB. Blame the guy who drafted him. Spielman should be fired!!!!
