Schiano says he's focused on turning winless Buccaneers around, not his job

TAMPA, Fla. — Disgruntled fans showed up at Raymond James Stadium, some carrying placards or wearing brown paper bags over their heads calling for the firing of Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano.

I once had a boss very much like Greg Schiano. I also have a mother with essentially the same psychological makeup. I could spot one like Mr. Schiano across a busy airport. Always (at least initially) they are very charismatic, engaging, "thoughtful" - almost too good to be true. This is how people like Greg get the jobs they aren't qualified for. They are masters at putting on a show (an alter persona). Then reality sets in. Once people like Greg have won their battle (they have you in their clutches) they no longer have a need to put on the show. People closest to this type of personality soon discover exactly what is under that god-like (thin) veneer. It is not pretty. I can guarantee you that there is likely nobody in that Tampa Bay locker room excited about the next team meeting with Mr. Schiano. I would accurately call Greg Schiano the anti-Leslie Frazier.
