Do I understand this? We want to rate and pay teachers based on performance, but we'll pay millions (think how many kids that would educate) to build a stadium for a "team" like the Vikings? Why aren't the dollars for a stadium performance based too?

So more "unexpected" costs and the real battle over getting the state out of subsidizing profitable multimillion dollar commercial entities and disbanding wasteful government boards like the MSFA is in infancy. Bad things seem to move very fast here but progress takes time and publicity. And apperently a lot of waste.

The article says the property was bought in 2007 and that "since then" a light rail stop has been added. Hasn't the Metrodome light rail stop been there since 2004?

The way the Vikings are playing now the question should really be will this property be needed at all for the last 4 home games?

They aren't pulling their weight either.

This was an easy problem to solve. All they had to do was dump a truck full of money on these guys and make them happy. Mission accomplished.

Example: When a few or even a whole "team" of teachers fails at a school, the worst ones (or all of them) shall be "traded" to B-league schools, similar to how NFL players are "released" and told to go play in the CFL/ArenaLeague. Fair enough? Like being sent from a well-to-do school to central Mpls? That is, of course, if teachers are ever evaluated for performance! They are still blocking that. At least when a football player doesn't perform, everyone gladly says buh-bye with their NFLPA (players' association union) not blocking say a benching, trade, or outright release of a Ponder like player, ya know?
