Please refer all complaints to device-tax supporters and deciding votes for the ACA: Al Franken and Amy Kloubuchar.

I lost the bet! I though it would only take 2 minutes for someone to post that the layoffs were due to the medical device tax. kleindropper, there have been NO layoffs due to the tax, go take some economic courses and you'll learn that when sales drop people get laid off.

kleindropper: by now most people have seen through the phony device-tax doomsday predictions. With more people covered by insurance, there will be a larger market for the devices. Under our current system, hospitals eat and/or pass on the cost of their ERs stabilizing heart patients who are without insurance, but they won't implant pacemakers for people who can't pay.

Hmm... I work in the medical device industry for other large and well known Minnesota companies and we are swamped with work. Maybe a little poor planning on Boston Scientifics part? Oh no, that's right, its always easier to take the Limbaugh point your finger drama route. Problem is, he is making over 40 million a year off those of you that seem to lack any form of sensibility or reason and follow his tripe. And to top it off I don't think he is planning on sharing any of his fortune with you...just a guess.

The economy. That is why this happened. Wait...it's so much better after 4 plus years. Must be climate change.

People get layed off in preparation for steep taxes on medical devices. Why wait until it happens? Poor management, dropping sales, impending tax. Lay offs. The trouble started before the tax threat.

BS is planning on cutting their severance package in half in 2014. That's when you'll see the layoffs. They are also checking out a manufacturing plant in China.

Regardless of whether the BS cuts are because of the medical device tax or not, it is disgusting that both Franken and Klobuchar voted for the tax and now pretend they are heroes by trying to eliminate the tax. Allow me to be blunt: if someone voted for slavery and then later said they were working to undo the slavery bill they helped pass, how should they be viewed?

Say what you want, but I just saw a stat that said so m any jobs were created and that unemployment has gone down. Tell that to the 1100 - 1500 people who just lost their jobs. Thanks to all the wonderful democrats.....Vote them in again!!

Do people know about competitive bidding? Medicare reimbursement cuts 60-72% on 9 categories - diabetes, CPAP, wheel chairs, etc. It's real! You have to manufacture in China and India to survive. Look at J&J diabetes sales, -28% in 2013. Mail order providers servicing Medicare people with diabetes went from 220 to 18. 1,000's of family owned durable medical companies are closing post July 1, 2013 because of new Medicare cuts. Loss of jobs, businesses closings, and lower product quality are all parts of ACA. If you don't believe me, look it up. It's sad!
