My heart goes out to you. There is no loss greater than a child. I am so sorry for your loss. She sounds like an awesome human being and could have moved the world in a better direction. Thank you for sharing this.

It was a great gathering at the BPAC for everyone to remember her. Had to be like a thousand people there...

My heart breaks for a parent who has lost a child. And that's part of the reason that objectivity tends to be lost on issues like courts and community safety. The reality is, in todays' society where half the population wants to pay minimal taxes and shrink government, we can't provide guaranteed safety to everyone.

Seven convictions of violent crimes over a 14-year period. A measly $2,500 bail to get out of jail after holding gun to a guy's head and threatening his life. I'm completely outraged by our legal system for being so blase about this. I agree you can't deny bail to every offender, but if ever there sounds like one who should have been denied, it was this guy. Sadly it's too late for Anarae; rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss I really have no words to express the sorrow I have in my heart for you and your family Mrs Schunk. Your Daughter was a shinning star and touched the heart of those who knew her and those who got to now her through the press. God bless your family.
