I prefer flying on airlines that make a profit, and can afford to maintain the planes.

...and so much for all the Tea Party people claiming a down economy. Look at the Stock Market ...record high. And excellent comment..want to fly on planes owned by a company that is making money!

Delta is making quite a big chunk of their profit by fleecing the customers with less planes, higher prices, reduced flight schedules, high fees, basically no service, maintenance service outsourced to other countries, inpolite flight attendants, and many times planes that are not too clean.

Nice to know Delta and their shareholders are profiting handsomely from the hundreds of jets thundering low over Minneapolis all day and all night every day. Good for Delta and their shareholders that all the negative economic effects are felt by the poor taxpaying property owners living on the ground below. Hey, what say we spend a few billion dollars of MAC money upgrading the airport so Delta can cram a few more connecting flights in and out over our rooftops? Let's make sure that not one penny of MAC money goes to mitigating the effects felt by the poor residents of the Twin Cities who endure the deafening noise from the ever increasing air traffic. Anybody who lives within fifty miles of the airport deserves as much plane noise as they get day or night and has no right to complain. Corporations and their shareholders should be favored and protected. Property owning residents and taxpayers have no rights and deserve no consideration.
