More 'political correctness' from elite liberals who seem to forget there's this thing called the First Amendment and free speech. Not to mention they seem to think there is some constitutional right not to be 'offended'. Give me a break.
Amazing how hard life is for the easily offended PC types. I'm gonna bet there will be plenty of offensive costumes picking on Bachmann or Palin or Bush w/o consequences. But let there be one mocking Obama and the Secret Service will be out in full force with flak jackets and grenade launchers. Bill G.
Political correctness is fascism pretending to be manners. Further, Halloween is *supposed* to be a transgressive holiday, not "sensitivity" on parade! I'll hope the students greet this insipid "advisory" with acts of rebellion, not compliance.
When do I get to pick what offends me? Oh, that's right, I'm a Caucasian male. I have no rights.
I think all U staff and students are required to take PC 101.
I'm sure if someone dressed up as the First Amendment that would offend someone somewhere and be banned.
I guess if you're a straight white male with no apparent disabilities, you can just smugly disregard this as being PC because you're nationality or appearance has never been mocked. Hell, you don't even know mocking when you see it.
Are we talking about a university or an elementary school?
