The new online health insurance markets, the portals to coverage for most of the nation's nearly 50 million uninsured people, have gotten off to a rocky start since their Oct. 1 launch. The law was also central to the budget fight that led to a 16-day partial government shutdown. Politicians had these comments on the Sunday talk shows about the state of President Barack Obama's health care law:

It is not and never was about health care. It was to get control of people. The dems do not care if it works. Just as many people will not have insurance. They think they can always fix it later. Remember in 2014 that not one GOP member voted for this horrible law. Thanks democrats, way to destroy the world's best health care.

"Rocky Start" ? If you perceive it that way now in it's inception...without giving it time, just thank the republican tea party...likes of Bachmann and Cruz, etc. You have attempted to derail anything and everything progressive since your President Barack Obama won office.

"I think the best way to repeal Obamacare is to have an alternative. We never hear the alternative. We could do this in a much lower cost with improved quality based on our principles, free-market principles." Jeb, we have had the "free-market principles" and it doesn't work! The insurance companies denied people coverage, decided whether surgeries would be covered, have dropped people in the middle of a serious illness (which caused people to go into bankruptcy and/or lose their homes because their child had a serious illness), and employer group insurance was increased so much that the individual had to be removed from the group. Ah, yes, the same old alternative that was in existence for generations. Going back to the old system is not an alternative!

Technological problems instead of outrageous premiums and deductibles are an easy trade off.

Darkcircle-Nothing in this law fully addressees the outrageous premiums, just who pays for it. Either you pay for it yourself or someone else pays for you on top of already paying for it for themselves.

Just how much of the web site problems are caused by republicans logging on in great numbers just to promote a denial of services? Let's look into this.

First time in my 37 years as an adult I will not be able to afford health insurance. These cost increases will literally be the death of me.
