WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Monday offered "no excuses" — and little explanation — for the computer bugs still frustrating Americans who are trying to enroll online for insurance plans at the center of his health care law. But software developers tasked with building the site said they saw signs a year ago that the debut could fail.

Seniors will recall the Medicare Part D rollout in 2005. Now it works just fine. Relax, this too will get ironed out. BTW, Medicare Part D costs the taxpayers more than the ACA will.

Obamacare - an unfortunately troubled start of a system the GOP has tried to sabotage since it went to the floor for debate. Luckily it doesn't officially roll out for another two months. The GOP - the party who wants to remove a system that will enable millions to access health care for the first time. A party who has proposed no alternative and would prefer that millions continue without health care.

I'd be curious to know if the Federal IT staff were all furloughed during the shutdown. The Fed's run one of the major health care exchanges and their servers are tied into all of the state exchanges. IT problems were a big factor in the glitches and it's hard to see how they could be addressed if the IT staff wasn't on the job because of the Tea Party's shutdown.

This administration has the Petter's touch! Everything sounds great-- on every topic--until one actually tries to see the material goods or look at the financial books. Yet, this debt-ridden administration will bend the healthcare cost curve, yes, really, they will. Who could doubt them? ;oD

Computer issues? What about the mandate that folks buy health insurance with a premium that's now double or triple what it used to cost?

Obamacare, written behind close doors, no debate, not read by even the dems, and the fed sites being written by an outfit fired by canada. so are we surprised we have a mess?

"They had a couple years to prepare" ... I was part of a health care IT rollout for a major healthcare company that serves all of MN and parts of other states that had more than 2 years to prepare and the go live was still a mess. It was ironed out during the first month just like this one will be. And they will continue to make enhancements to the system based on user feedback just like every implementation does.
