Why me? Because I don’t do what you do when you do what everyone else does.

It's cool to not talk about yourself.

Not having a mobile phone is hardly an act of rebellion or eccentricity, not to mention no sign of coolness. It's simply a choice not to....have a mobile phone. Or a smartphone that can make one more efficient and flexible. For example, if someone gets locked out of my house or needs to get in or needs to lock it behind them, I can operate my front door's deadbolt lock or my garage door from anywhere. Now, for a kid who grew up in the 60s, I think that's PRETTY DARN COOL! ;-) But I do agree about the tattoos. They're getting really obnoxious.

So who is cooler. A middle-schooler following all the latest fashions or a Dad who doesn't care if others think his fashion choices are awful? :)

Rob defined cool in college. For thirty years, Encyclo-Britannica showed maturity and wisdom by pre-screening any definitional changes to 'cool' with Robert. Whether doctoraire or vernacular. The Icon is dead, long live the cool dude.
