A Wild team scraping for goals predictably couldn’t respond after surrendering a late breakaway score to the Lightning.

$73,170.31.....Danny Heatley's pay each game before taxes. It is painfully obvious he cannot play anymore. Matt Cooke, lovely cheap shot and it was a cheap shot high stick tonight, lucky the guy he hit didn't lose an eye. Two goals in two games, yikes!

Sure, we get shots on goal, but we still do not have scoring. Fletcher needed to upgrade the forwards to provide more scoring. So far, FAIL.

Too much talent on this team to score 1 goal every night. If I was the owner, I'd be losing my mind after shelling out serious money on payroll. Not sure if Yeo is the guy to lead this team.....

I saw both goalies play out of their mind tonight. Time to hit the panic button? Mid October, time to fire our GM and Coach Yeo yet? Only if your a typical Vikings fan on here. Just wait till this team is healthy.

This team is simply not that good.

Lack of scoring wastes another stellar performance by Hards. And Stamkos gets a goal scorers goal to seal the deal. The Wild are going to be stuck in this mode until they find their own Stamkos type. This club has never been good enough to get the gold and never bad enough to get a bonafide number one game changer draft pick. And unfortunately they went and got their add-on guys (Parise, Suter, Poms etc) before they got their build around guy. The club decided to forego the chance of some empty seats to create the illusion they were building a team that could win now. You can make the case that 3 of the the last 5 Cup winners had to stink it up and get that top level draft pick (PIT, CHIx2, LA & BOS)(Crosby, Toews, Kane, Doughty) before they could have a powerful enough roster to win it all. I would argue that BOS chances changed when they got Thomas and Chara on to their clubs. I know this isn't a positive post but man I am frustrated. I could review the reasons the Wild didn't win tonight, but I am not wishing to re-live them. ARRRGGGHHHH!

I know Zucker makes some young mistakes, but this teams needs some spark that he can create something out of nothing. We have had enough of Heatley.

For those continually haranguing the Heater, would have been nice to have him on the front end of his career, but we didn't. I thoroughly believe he would have been bought out if not for the season ending injury/surgery. I have thought that he would be a liability this year and I've seen nothing to change my mind...

Wild slows down upon offensive zone entrance; pucks roll off sticks; players fall down; shots go wide; races to the puck are lost; follow-up crashers sniffing for rebounds are nowhere to be found; presssure is ocassionally applied but nothing is achieved! I do believe Harding, Neiderreitter, Fontaine, Parise and Cooke had a good game - at least in the effort category. Once again too much praise given to Koivu when it should've gone to Nino...friggin' Greenlay and Panther again. Watch a Blues 'Hawks game sometime to get an idea of where this team is at. This could be a long season.

Watchin' Blues and Hawks right now.
