It's not your imagination. There really is a tighter squeeze on many planes these days.

Just like politicians. They tell you what a great thing it is that they're giving you less, or nothing more for higher cost.

Funny...no mention of Delta revising their interior to maximize additional seats. Oh wait, they don't upgrade their interiors! After moving to Orange County and closing our Minneapolis office, I'm so glad that I don't have to fly in their dumpy planes.

Maybe they can get rid of the overhead bins and talk about the increased headroom, and how great that is for everybody.

17 1/2" wide? I guess if I cut my arms off at the shoulders and stowed them in the overhead bin.

Maybe air travel needs to regulated again like it was in the past. This is getting stupid and fares are really low compared to the value you get. I only will fly first class now if I need to go anywhere.

Hey folks it's still cheaper and faster than driving cross country. And on many routes it costs not much more than it did 20 years ago. If you don't like it, don't fly. Speak to the airlines with your wallet.

Last flight I was on I thought my bum had suddenly gotten "less plump" because that was the most uncomfortable seat I had been on ever. Sigh...burst my bubble...it was just the seat itself....

"Airlines say you won't notice." Well, I won't, because I've quit flying. We're having a great time driving all over the US, and if I want to go back to Europe we'll be taking a ship over and back. I expect it won't be that long before the seats are replaced with hanging straps that you just hold on to during the flight. Of course, there will be an extra charge for using the strap.

Ever since they got rid of the regulation, the airlines have been nickel diming us all. The service NEVER gets any better and because we have no alternative. They all stick together.

Oh, the airlines say that we're just as comfortable as before. Well, I guess that settles it, then, eh?
