Jilted Minnesota bride donates wedding reception to disabilities organization

MOORHEAD, Minn. — A bride who has already spent thousands of dollars on a dream wedding is donating her reception to a Moorhead organization that serves people with disabilities.

I hope she will find some consolation that out of her pain, she will be giving joy to so many others. And...I hope she will find someone to share her life with and realize the "fairytale" marriage is so much better than just the wedding.

From a "practical" standpoint ... she may be able to take a charitable tax deduction if the receiving entity is a 501(c)(3) organization. More than likely it is. Best of wishes.
