Cassel's play, defeat might rush Freeman into duty

Matt Cassel was 32-for-44, but the latest uninspiring loss ramped up the outcry for Leslie Frazier to pull the trigger on another QB switch.

Horrendus offensive line play today. Cassell was a sitting duck back there, as the line repeatedly double teamed some players and left other players wide open to assault Cassel. Aaron Rodgers wouldn't have fared any better with this porous line. Whoever lines up at QB next week should seriously take out a life insurance policy. It's that dangerous back there with this offensive offensive line.

Say what you want about Freeman, but last year he threw for over 4000 yards and 27 tds and had a Pro Bowl year in 2010 with less then stellar playmakers. Outside of Favre's career year, when was the last time a Vikings quarterback put up these type of numbers? Then again, it really doesn't matter who's playing QB with the coaches and management of this team who are essentially steering the Vikes into a black hole...

Frazier keeps saying it's his fault for not preparimg the team better. Maybe that week off could have been better used, eh Frazier? A 1-3 team should not be given a week off. They played like a 1-3 team today, and Frazier coached like a 1-3 coach. We have to get better...we'll look at the tape....It's my fault...These same excuses are spewed every year by Frazier. He sounds like a broken record. Not coincidentally, his team has a broken record.

Frasier better make some changes now!! The fans deserve more then this. I better not hear "Well, we knew there was going to be some growing pains in our secondary". GROWING PAINS!! The Vikings pass defense is ranked dead last. Do something! Anything!! Start by benching Josh Robinson. He gets victimized every game. He looks completely helpless out there. Next, the Vikings need to do whatever they can to bring in Winfield.

The defense can't stop the pass or run, GM can't draft, coaches can't coach, O-line can't block and the QBs have been dreadful. Throw Freeman into the fire, if he can save this train wreck we've found the first franchise QB since Tarkington.

I just call 'em like I see 'em, Cassel still looked better than Ponder. But he agreed to be a backup, so put Freeman in there. Don't mention playoffs until late December.

Hey Freeman, welcome to the jungle. It's a big mess. Are you glad to be here? There is no way but up, so, good luck.

kennyrogersOct. 13, 1311:26 PM

Agree, Slamman. Morgan Freeman can't do any worse than what we've seen.

" I want to evaluate this week" blah, blah, blah. We hear it every week and we come out with the same mundane game plan. Why not put your best players on the field, Jennings, Patterson, Simpson and Rudulph, maybe sprinkle in some Wright, and see how teams match up? It may give AP some room to run. I am tired of hearing about "packages with players, put your best out there and go after it.

Fraiser keeps blaming himself for the losses... It sounds to me like he is "Begging" to be let go (from this disaster called a team)...
