Go get 'em coach Claeys. The biggest factor in recruiting will be winning no matter who's the coach.

That's too bad! I'm tired of the Gophers being the bottom feeders of the Big Ten in football. I want some positive drama for a change!!

dunwoody64Oct. 11, 1310:42 PM

Not only a bottom feeder but a consistent bottom feeeder (the last 50 years) is a more accurate description of Minnesota football. No more excuses. As Al Davis would say just win baby!!!

Not much of a resume for a big time job like this. He can't even keep himself in shape. Here is his big chance to go against a real talented coach in Pat Fitzgerald. Good luck because he will need it.

Good luck T, I support you and the team 100%.

I'm certain Jerry Kill is a nice man and decent football coach, however the health issues he's dealing with IS a distraction to the team and WILL negatively impact recruiting. Anyone, who doesn't believe this should get a CAT scan. Stop fooling yourselves people, If you want to be competitive you need talent and you only get that with big time recruits. Just look at any successful program around the country. This football program has floundered for 50 years and we have a part-time coach. Think that's going to attract talent --- get serious Minnesota. Now Tracy (have another pork chop) Claeys is going to lead this Team? What a joke !

FYI: Jerry Kill is entitled to some time off for an illness.... It's the "LAW of the land" (FMLA).. Since the U of M is a state institution, they are bound tighter to federal regulations than private institutions. I'm sure he is upset about the effect this will have on the program too (this is his passion we are talking about).

I don't care who the coach is, just win some Big 10 games

In my salad days, I attended a number of graduate classes at the University of Minnesota. From my perspective, education was the primary purpose of the institution. I have never been able to acknowledge the alpha and omega of a school's purpose was to produce winning football teams.

By saying "we'll be fine," he means the Gophs will continue to be completely over matched and get smoked in Big Ten play.
