Crazy how it works that Pat Williams leaves and our LB play looks worse as do the corners not to mention holes up the middle. But hey, give Evans and Guion another 5 years and maybe they'll be better than bad to mediocre.

Right on the money Patrick. We all feel better about the QB position now but without a huge improvement in this defense we are going nowhere this year.

Vikes 27, Carolina 31. Remember, the home opener against Cleveland was supposed to be a win too. But then our defense showed up.

Freeman still has much to prove. Look forward to his first start, especially with AP in backfield. Allows him more options than Tampa. OC needs to make the right calls.

I suppose it is hard to find something worthwhile to write three times a week.

Put Ponder in as Cornerback, then we can blame him for the defense as well.

Good story, Mr. Reusse. What would help is getting Rhodes and Bishop on the field MORE. Rhodes is arguably our best defensive back, yet he's only used in nickel situations. Bishop is arguably the best linebacker we have, yet his playing time has been very limited. This makes no sense. Play your best people, Leslie.

Frazier's "prevent defense" Tampa 2 is a long proven failure and his "Childress stubborness" prevents him from changing it. Always back on their heels, never agressive or dare take a risk - that's why they can't get off the field. Defense wins Superbowls and this team will never achieve that until Leslie is gone...

turnover, as in 20 new players a year is the problem regardless of the individuals involved. Change the salary cap to allow an annual $100k bonus off the cap chart for each consecutive year a player stays with the same team. There is a lot to be said for keeping your own already-trained average players instead of constantly rotating in somebody else's. Could help retain older solid players, and lower the on cap cost of that 5th defensive back who knows your system and has been her for 8 years. Bill G.
