I was just on the site... Its still having some issues..... On another note I have a friend that works for Medica. I asked how many people have enrolled through the exchange to a Medica plan.... " Right now ZERO, because neither the State or the Federal exchages can complete a an order/data exchange to complete an enrollment!

With a web implementation like this there are always going to be some complications in the beginning, and if they're starting to get out of the woods already then it should be considered very successful.

As a person with a pre-existing condition Its nice not to have the stress of having affordable insurance anymore as for the Republicans in office that are trying to stop the ACA I am sure they do not understand what this is like because they have free insurance for them and their families for life partly paid for by ME and YOU !!

All Americans deserve quality, affordable healthcare, but ObamaCare will never be able to deliver. Health insurance does not equal healthcare and there is already doctor rationing in California because the biggest networks with the most doctors are not in the exchanges. For others, their premiums are doubling or even troubling for the same or less coverage. This is what happens when one party passes a bill and doesn't even know what's in it. And that bill just happens to involve one sixth of the U.S. economy. A disaster on so many levels.

If a computer program as complex as this didn't have real issues on a go live - now THAT would a real story and a lot of private tech companies would be begging to know how a Version 1.0 went off so well.

So, if you sign up one year and have low income and then the next year it goes up how will they ever know? Will they just send you a bigger bill automatically? This gives even less incentive to work for more money.

Look if you don`t want health insurance don`t get it just pay the penalty. its like driving without car insurance get into an accident just get you checkbook out and pay your share, If you go to the ER and we will pay if you have no health insurance. The actual reality is this , my mail box and TV commercials are full of ads for affordable car insurance and I feel this is what will happen with heath care, at least to a thinking person.

It is not reasonable to expect that any significant number of people would have chosen coverage yet. The coverage does not kick in until January one, and you can wait until the last week of December to make a choice if you wish. Anyone who buys coverage in the first 30 days is acting impulsively. A smart person will wait for others to review and choose , then take time to make a careful choice.

Think about how much time you took to buy your last car, cell phone or computer. Think about how many people jump out and by a new product as soon as its released. Got Windows 8 yet? I'm still happily plunking along on WinXP!

Once you get by the ID Validation stage, your waiting has just started. If you fill out the questionaire to check on subsidy availability, your application silently is transferred to some unknown place where it's status is always listed as "Pending". If you fill out the questionaire to "Check the cost of Health Plans" that application is also silently transferred to some unknown place where it's status is always listed as "Pending". There is a lot of work to do before this is a functional system. The problems won't matter if they are fixed in the next 7 weeks or so. Major problems much beyond that timeframe really will be a disaster for the program.
