There is a catch to the Lynx’s dominance, a catch that might disappoint their fans and probably the WNBA home office.
What a treat to watch a team this good, especially compared to everything else in this market.
I listen to jock radio and all I ever hear is about the Vikings quarterback controversy. How about some air time for the best team MN has to offer, hands down?--the Lynx. Beautiful basketball, great teamwork, as close to perfection as this state's teams will ever get.
This just shows that, yes, Minnesota sports teams don't have to mean mediocrity or worse. You get good ownership, management, coaching, players, everybody on the same page, you can win here, at just about anything.
Fun to watch team basketball vs. the one-on-one stuff the NBA has become. And, from what I see, players don't seem to get upset if they have to share the ball.
fun to watch. Again and again I am left to wonder how previous management didn't move heaven and earth to draft Whalen and McCarville. But, in the end, I am glad they finally figured out their mistake and added some stars around them.
Love watching the Lynx! They play fantastic, wonderful basketball! But please don't say that we'll never see anything this good the rest of the year. Some of the Timberwolves are watching and taking notes. They are capable of learning and improving. They may never be the Lynx, but they can and will get better than they are right now. Meanwhile, GO LYNX! Let's close this thing out strong. Bring the trophy home! And, see you again next summer!
The teamwork is really what makes the Lynx much fun to watch, and so hard to beat. As one of the commentators said last night, they'll give the ball to ANYONE who is open, and every player is ready to take that shot. I love that MN has gotten behind this team. The fan support is terrific. I have friends who like sports but haven't been at all interested in the WNBA. I encourage them to watch the LYNX just to watch the teamwork. It's like music. GO LYNX!
The t'wolves might compete for excellence like the lynx? Too funny. The t'wolves will NOT even make the playoffs. IF they do, snicker, it will be as #8 and they will lose to #1, first round. Haha
If the men sports teams around here had half the heart these women do maybe we wouldn't be bottom feeders all the time. How about looking at how the Lynx organization runs things and emulating them. It seems they have the answers. Great job Lynx, make MN. proud for once.
There is something to be said for perfection-- no matter where you find it: close it out, Lynx. There'll be much to celebrate when you return home.
