Ambiguous, collective generataional ego-inflating drivel. American youth have been volunteering and making their communities a better place for decades through their church, school groups, sports teams and other extra-cirricular clubs. The whole notion of "We-Day" is redundant self-cheerleading. And I wouldnt be surprised if there are ulterior, political motives in its design.

Cause all the little kiddies deserve blue ribbons and want to participate because they really think it is "me" day.

Who pays for this? And how do you get to pull kids out of school to indoctrinate them into your umbrella organization?

Wow, I'm surprised at all the negativity here. There are much worse things kids could be doing than going to this event. I don't know if it's worth missing a day of school, but do you all realize how much instructional time athletes miss? If this missed school time isn't worth it than that missed school time isn't eigher.

I am all for when kids get let out to participate in and support their teams in the MSHL sports tournaments. This does not seem like an appropriate use of time and the parents that are all hyped that their kids are there are probably clueless about youth indoctrination...time would have been better spent showing an old After School Special on the topic but that would not have fit with the "agenda". Yes there is an agenda here folks.
