Yeo/coaches need to get over their love affair with Spurgeon. Recall last year Spurgeon was paired with Suter to start the season, and it had disastrous results. Perhaps the same thing is occuring with Scandella. BTW, Spurgeon was on the ice for 3 of the goals. His size on the back-end is a liability. How do I know that? Because 2 of 3 periods, the Wild's defensive zone is on my end of the ice.

Stoner does not use his size for a D-man, Spurgeon size is laughable in the NHL for a D-man, Scandella needs time to develop, Ballard is nothing to write home about. Just wait... he won't be consistent. We need some help on the blue line. The coaches are making too many excuses.

Hope Harding gets the nod tomorrow in Nashville. Think he deserves some time. Backstrom has looked a tad sketchy in goal so far.
