Stock market slides as budget stalemate drags on in Washington; Investors fear a US default

NEW YORK — The stock market is closing at its lowest level in a month as the U.S. government enters a second week of being partially shut down.

Is it not amazing that the local press keeps on telling us that the national economy is just fine and roaring on when, in fact, millions of jobs are being converted into part time jobs and people are losing full time job status? Canards are not the way to say things, um? America is in giant trouble and we have to stop borrowing more and more money. Soon enough, that money will be just about worthless if nothing changes. Some country.Some government.

Not really sure why the market is struggling, its been gaining on bad news for 3 years due to the feds pumping 85 billion a month into it, thats not changing.

The teapublicans have been planning this for months. As long as it makes Obama look bad, they'd happily destroy the nation.
