Minn. sends furlough notices to 105 state workers whose jobs affected by federal shutdown

ST. PAUL, Minn. — State officials have notified 105 Minnesota Department of Health workers that they might be laid off because of the federal government shutdown.

In other words The Minnesota Department of Health employ 105 workers paid for by borrowed funds that our grandchildren will pay for with interest. Isn't it time all levels of Government balance their budgets and only pay for what they can afford with this years tax revenues?

You mean a paid vacation as they will get backpay when they return.

I suspect that they don't get the paid vacation. People that are on grant-funded projects are handled differently, basically as temporary workers, and so their jobs actually end when funding runs out.
