Good to see our big guns, Parise & Koivu, totally choke on their shoot-out attempts. It's only one game, but these guys need to deliver every night. They're not being paid big dough to be solid or dependable, they're being paid big dough to wow.

Yeah, knejoh77, Koivu only won 2/3 of his faceoffs tonight. He should have won them all, right?? Seriously, did you just look at a box score or did you actually watch the game? Meanwhile, Wild needed to finish LA off in the 2nd period but a guy by the name of Quick had other ideas. Coyle, Nino both played outstanding tonight.

A Wild game that ended in a tie? And they could only muster 2 goals? Surprised.

A lot of positives to take from this game. The Wild outplayed a great team for most of the game, but it's the score that matters in the end. Quick is just really hard to beat. It was nice to see the young guys contribute, and they should only get better as the season goes on. Great to have hockey back. Go Wild!

That is a surprise, that is, for the Wild to lose their opener. Usually, if past history is a guide, they would be expected to start strong and do well for a few games before fading and playing hard enough to just miss the playoffs. I assume that they will follow that tradition this season as well.

Think I just watched a replay from last year. So when does the new season start?

I start off the season 1 win and no losses on my Wild predictions, yeah that Koivou, Pommonville and Parise line is just unstoppable, hehehehehehe

Wild looked good most of the night. I was a bit surprised how good they looked. We still have work to do, to be expected though. The Wild need to get the "killer instinct" in them and start pounding teams when they get the down! Looking forward to Saturday!

After all the homers making excuses... I saw the same exact kind of gameplay style as last year. Trudge, trudge, dump and chase, dump and chase, lapse on defense a few times allowing goals. Pitiful.
