congratulations to the team! Good to know we have one women's team still playing. We used to have a pretty good volleyball team but I guess they quit playing, never hear of them, anymore. Women's basketball?? Did Pam Borton leave the state and they not replace her? Maybe the AD could pay a little attention to that situation, uh!

Nice to see the women's hockey team continually at the top, but keep it in perspective: they're really only competing against 3 or 4 other programs on the national level.

bblover, fyi the Gophers STILL have a very good volleyball team! They are currently 14-1 and ranked 8th in the country...And stevee952 there are probably a dozen other hockey programs that could beat the Gopher women on any given day - maybe more this year due to the significant losses the team experienced due to graduation and this being an Olympic year. What they've accomplished these past two seasons is truly amazing.

Amen JRB. The Women's hockey team had an amazing year, and is entering rare air. On the same plane as the famed UCLS hoops teams and UCONN's B-Ball team. And all teams are gunning for them. Also, the Women's swim and diving team had a great year last year...Big 10 Champs and 10th at the NCAA Championships last year.
