Oh, too bad...so sad. Of all the issues, this has to be the least significant. Those terrible Republicans.

SPEAKING for myself, I couldn't shoot a deer unless I had a camera.

You mean to tell me that the Gov can't just walk into this area? A little barricade? Walk around it. What a joke. What kind of wimps have we've become?

The comments so far show a lot of ignorance. All federally-managed hunting lands are now off-limits. Every year my family travels to Morris, MN for the pheasant opener and spends several days out there hunting the federal Waterfowl Production Areas. Thanks to the shutdown these are now closed off and if we try to hunt them we could be cited for trespassing. If the shutdown lasts through next weekend we will not be making that trip and Stevens County will miss out on the money we would have spent on motels, food and gas. There are many others like us who will bail out and the rural economy out there is going to take a hit thanks to the clowns in D.C.

"She says “Plan B” could involve moving some of the Prairie Wetlands activities over to the adjacent fairgrounds."------ I don't know, moving it right next door sounds like some pretty drastic changes.

dflleft: "SPEAKING for myself, I couldn't shoot a deer unless I had a camera." ----- I agree with you there. However, I should point out that if someone else shoots a deer and gets it processed, I have no problem eating it.
