Lets hope this team shows some backbone this year. Nobody was willing to stand up against cheaps shots on Spurgeon, Clutterbuck, Pomminville and others last season.

Agree Oglethorpe. Sort of ironic how our captain is supposed to be so terse and competitive, yet when the opposition makes a questionable move, our captain is absolutely no where to be found. It starts at the top and works it way down.

You can't squeeze blood from a turnip, and this team doesn't act like a pack of Wolves because it has been built without any Wolves--other than an occasional shift from Konopka. Stoner does very little heavy lifting. I have never seen a pro team that allows it's best players, and prized rookies to be manhandled on a regular basis.

Someone needs to drop the gloves with Brown tomorrow and it needs to happen early. He probably won't fight Konopka so I think this is where Cooke needs to step in

I agree that our team is not really built tough. The NHL suspension on Brown was a joke. If he didn't miss a playoff game, it didn't mean anything. In any case, I hope Brown has a rough night Thursday.

As long as i can remember going back to The North Star's and now the Wild.. We have never had a "Pack of Wolve's mentality"..Some of the softest teams in NHL history have called MN home. Yeo's been preaching this type of play since he got here. Where's it been?.. I hope once and for all this group, now and moving forward will remove the skirts-toss the lipstick and get down to watching each other's back's. I'm not saying gooning it up but if you can't count on your teamates to watch your back who can you count on?..

Great opportunity for Cooke to get off on the right foot with people like me who scratched their heads when we signed him.

I would love to have a top six guy that plays with a little edge, someone that lives in the grey area of the rulebook. To my recall, I do not think that the Wild has ever had a guy like that on a top 1 or 2 line.
