Today's college students have less use for e-mail

For many of today’s students, texting and social media have rendered slower, “boring” e-mail irrelevant.

“How are they going to learn to use e-mail when that’s the model, and why would they want to?” - - - - BECAUSE they all have loans to pay off with a job and jobs use email. Learn now or lose out to the student who replied to a recruiters email.
