Tevlin: If Syria story is true, why is Minnesota news site hiding?

Not long after a story alleging that Syrian rebels — not the government — were responsible for chemical attacks that killed hundreds ran on a Minnesota-published website, MintPress News, I wrote to one of the authors with questions.

Jon, good article. I wish the rest of the modern media would have the same appetite for digging through the obfuscation to get to the bottom of fishy stories such as this one. Readers appreciate this type of reporting.

This is the role of the media - to challenge the stories put out there, by the government as well as the rest of the media. Thanks. Now, I know it is standard practice to not announce one's errors with the same zeal as one's scoops, but the only way to maintain any semblance of credibility is to acknowledge the errors and take steps to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

How could anyone who knew the facts believe such nonsense. There were over a dozen rockets that hit multiple sites hit over a wide area, not a single incident that could be explained away as an accident. The editors who allowed this Syrian propaganda to be published should be fired.

Rebels fire missiles. Syria sez it will destroy stockpiles. That is good? Of course the US has chem weapons too. Why do we need them?

You say "stop a war".....you mean "stop US involvement"...the war is already stared with over 100,000 dead
