Even if Cassel is not the answer, which we hope he is, everyone knows CP days are numbered. Highly doubtful he will be a full-time "play manager" or whatever they called him Sunday in London.

Cassel played better then Ponder period. Just think how much better Cassel will be with regular practice time with the 1st team. If Ponder starts again, I ain't watching.

Play Cassel. Cut ties with ponder. Make MBT back-up. Draft another QB.

And the ground work is being laid for Cassel to start against the Panthers.

very pleased with Cassel, enjoyed the whole game instead of switching to a real game for a change, nice arm, never saw him roll out right or left and eat the ball even once, nice pocket passer with great vision downfield, ponder is a good athlete but not an NFL QB

But what we haven’t been able to do is, we’ve had situations where we’ve stopped ourselves with turnovers and drives, said Frazier. Um, how do you stop yourselves with drives, Frazier? Admit it. If not for the injury, Ponder would still be starting and we'd be 0-4 right now. Your stubbornness in remaining loyal to one of the worst QB's in the NFL, and your apparent unwillingness to admit you were wrong all along, tells me you don't care about winning. All you care about is making sure Ponder starts every game and plays every snap he can. Your infatuation with Ponder is a major reason for most of our losses the past 3 years. You're the Ponder of NFL head coaches. I have no doubt Ponder is a third string QB at best on our team, probably 4th string if you include Webb. Make the change to Cassel. If he flounders, put in MBT. But DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT let Ponder ever sniff the playing field for the Vikings ever again.

When Vikings drafted Ponder at 12 pick, J.J. Watt was available. Texans drafted J.J. Watt at 14th pick. Always take the best player available. Our Coach/GM wasted 12 pick on Ponder.

@myteam favre was retiring. tjack's contract had run out and the vikes weren't going to re-up him. the qb cupboard was bare...the vikes had to take a shot at a qb. when they drafted pobder at 12, mel kiper said the vikes were forcing the qb position too hard. gruden just looked at him and said 'what choice did they have?'

While Leslie is busy looking at tape, let's just go over last week's highlights again. First win of the season. A QB rating higher than any--any--of Ponder's efforts in 30 games. Vikings offensive players literally tripping over themselves to complement Cassel. If Frazier doesn't want to lose the locker room--and get fired--he should stop watching videos and start believing his eyes.

As well as it all went, at the risk of being a negative Nellie, when offense was needed in the 4th quarter they couldn't get the job done. I put that on the shoulders of play calling by the offensive coordinator playing conservative. Running plays that net 3 yards when they need 7. Much of the fault of the offenses failures are Musgraves.
