That's good, he didn't deserve to be let go. I hope the next call is to Deron Johnson saying "you haven't given us a player in four years...you are done."

More status quo from an ownership that isn't interested in competing until ticket sales fall drastically after The All-Star Game this summer. Count me as a season ticket holder who is not renewing his tickets. Enjoy 2 more 90 loss seasons Mr. Pohlad.

More news...I will stay away from watching this pathetic team!

If you think about it, this makes sense. Gardy is just two wins away from 1000 in his managerial career. Based on the product the Twins have put on the field lately, he might actually need two years in order to get those two wins.

Thought they would've gone on the cheap and signed some no-name has-been manager to save a few bucks.

So who is the next player to leave and blossom after being dumped to the curbside here in MN because he didn't play "the Twins way"? Oritz, Hardy, Gomez, Losche to name but a few.

Good. He's a good manager and this is the right call. What was he supposed to do with the horrible leftovers from the Bill Smith era that have been forced on the field over the past few seasons? Was he supposed to dive in the way of the things about to hit Mauer or Morneau in the head? Of course not. Injuries happen, Bill Smith's ineptness happened, and Terry Ryan knows this. Smart move and it'll look all the better once Buxton, Sano and the pitchers start showing up.

This just further highlights the need for this organization to be rid of Terry Ryan and his good ole boys club within the Twins office. Until TR is gone this team will never compete for a World Series!

This is very disappointing. Gardy seems like a nice guy, but his managerial skills have seen better days. You can blame the line-up or farm teams all you want, but the fire and passion within the clubhouse is gone. 3-years in a row of 90+ loss seasons does not deserve any type of extension. With Target Field, the front office has no excuses to spend money this off-season, but I doubt we'll see it.
