LONDON – Vikings kicker Blair Walsh set a team record in a 34-27 victory on Sunday night, but an uncharacteristic miss by him gave the Pittsburgh Steelers a chance for a final rally.

It is not far fetched that the Walsh miss may have won the game for us. The Steelers settled for a field goal rather than going for it on fourth down on the ensuing drive as they trailed by ten instead of 13. If they go on fourth, they probably follow through with the inevitable touchdown. We, of course, would go conservative and give the ball back. If the Steelers had scored a touchdown, we would have lost by one at the wire. Not an impossible scenario by any means given what we have seen this season.

Locke sucked. His punts were pitiful, and he blew the hold on Walsh.

I hope Harrison Smith continues to play like this, and I hope CP continues to return kicks from 9 yards deep. These are both superstars in the making. You don't box players like that up. Let 'em go.

If Harrison Smith gets one of those penalties early in every game, the receivers will be hearting footsteps every time they catch a ball in his vicinity. It just might be worth it! I kinda hate it, but it doesn't look like Robinson has "football smarts", which is too bad with all that speed.
