A fresh start for Gardy/Anderson in another city will be in the best interests of everyone. What percentage of blame you want to divide between Gardy/Anderson, Ryan, and the Pohlad family doesn't matter anymore. A new on-field perspective and higher set of expectations will dovetail nicely with the additions this off season that Ryan KNOWS he has to make.

The home field advantage of the quirky Metrodome is gone and we need smarter baseball people and Pohlad's money if the Twins wish to compete. Pohlad does not know what he is doing and leaving it up to Ryan is letting the fox watch the hen house. Unfortunately Pohlad does not want to take the required time to start over and will keep Ryan and Kelly in control. Ryan, Kelly and the Manager and coaches all need to go and the "Twins Way" finally coming to an end.

First off...Dozier is not your second baseman of the future and secondly, Joe needs to understand GARDY is part of the problem. I've never been impressed by his managerial skills. How can Joe say that? Great manager my butt. Part of the problem is he's part of the guys. They don't need a manager like that. They need someone who "kicks butt". Clean house...replace your pitching and hitting coaches too. And please unload Dave St. Peter...he knows nothing about baseball. Those are starts. Pelfrey? Let him go...you "hope" he comes back from TJ surgery? Please...get established starters now!

I am a big believer in loyalty and I respect the loyalty that Ryan and Gardenhire have for each other. However, I think the players gave up on Gardy and his coaching staff this year which puts their loyalty in question. Furthermore, there has got to be some loyalty towards the fans who pay all these big salaries from the owners on down. That, too, is lacking. The Twins can fire everyone or let the coaching staff go. The owners aren't going anywhere and you can't fire all the players so a change in the entire coaching staff may be the only way to get things back on track. The sooner, the better.

At least the new stadium got built, since we heard for years that the Twins couldn't be competitive anymore without a new stadium. Not starting pitching, not a HR hitting DH, no, the Twins needed a stadium to compete.....

You stated that "Players" came to Gardy's defense but only quoted Mauer. Mauer hasn't played in about 5 weeks and it didn't look like any "Players" that were actually on the field wanted to play for Gardy. In the last 30 games, the T-Losses are 9-21. There was the chance of getting to 1000 wins for Gardy to play for and the team couldn't/wouldn't get a win for him to get that accomplished. Mauer is the "ONLY" one, based on the article that came to Gardy's defense. HE NEEDS TO GO. I really don't want Molitor though. I would rather have someone with experience.

Of course Mauer loves playing for Gardenhire. Who wouldn't when you can make all that money and play 2/3 rds of the time. Time for Gardy to move along. It's a business and he's not effectively managing anymore. Ozzie Guillen!

In winning all the Division titles that folks seem to hang onto so dearly with Gardo, there's a definite pattern that seems to escape so many. In his 13 seasons he's faced teams during the course of the season that had winning records 976 times, he won only 422 times while losing 554 times. That doesn't include the playoff record of 6-21. Only twice during his 13 seasons as he ever had a winning record against greater than .500 teams...and that was by a combined 11 games. It's not rocket science to see he was okay for the Central Division for so many years but could not match wits with the better teams from where-ever. There were seasons where the Twins only played 57, 61 etc games against teams with winning records, so the division titles take on a different perspective. There were seasons where Cleveland and Detroit both lost over a 100 games in the same season, and KC was right behind them. There is a whole lot more that should go into evaluating Gardo than simply wowing the division titles, a few of those years a local high school coach could have won the division.

Don't worry die heart Twins Fans, Sid Hartman just annoced on his 6:40am radio show that Gardy will get a (2) year contract. So nothing will change, except higher ticket prices and concessions, enyoy!!
