Coach Kirk Ferentz wasn’t prepared to say his 4-1 team has arrived, but he left Minnesota satisfied at the progress he’s seen.

I would have liked to see Mitch run the offense - he may not be a better passer but I think he would not have thrown the two interceptions and may have gained yards on the ground as well. They need to take the gamble next week.

Nice half-time adjustment coach...!!! I guess you showed the rest of the Big Ten a thing or two about coaching.... Wonder how many in-state players are chopping on the bit to come play for the best team in the nation (when it comes to fewest penalties).. We may not have much for players, but we got a lot of nice guys!! Go Gophers, rah!!

Let's cut our loses and drop all competitive athletics at the "U".. The only sports we can compete in are those that can't sustain themselves and need the football program to help carry the load.. (What's wrong with this picture!!) If we did dropped athletics, student's could probably save themselves a few hundred dollars a year , maybe work only one part time job, and graduate in less than 6 years.. It would be a win, win situation where by kids might have some time to actually enjoy the college learning experience( minus the losing football program) and we'd be a beacon to other states such as Alabama which leads the nation in poverty, infant mortality, and illiteracy.., but leads the nation only in football.. Fact is, the only thing a lot of the Southland has is their football programs which seems to be a drag on the over all health of their economies....( I hate to say it, but it seems to me that it is their catharsis for having lost the Civil War.)

I wish I hadn't added that last part about a catharsis... The south has warmer winters, but it also has fire ants....

Forgot to mention the killer bees, and the big snakes!! Let me summarize, the SEC is a nice area to visit, but beware of the killer bees, fire ants, big constrictors, infant mortality, ignorance, and poverty. Don't mention that you are from Minnesota 'cause they will make fun of our football program...
