That's funny - if I ever hit the lotto, I'd be flying to Liverpool to watch Everton Football Club every Saturday...

Great article, short & sweet & again a reminder of how sports can be so important to fans!

So when do the fans pay for their show instead of everyone else? You know, the baggers at Wal-Mart, the people who take out the trash, etc.? Or do the folks in the sky boxes have some sort of fief?

Luzhishen, I am assuming you are referring to the stadium when you asked when are the fans going to pay for their show. 1) This was a great article about a Vikings fan who lives in England, nothing was said about a stadium. 2) Why do you assume that people who work at Walmart or those who take out trash are not Vikings fans? I am also a little confused why you further aggravate yourself by reading articles about the Vikings. Oh well, I won't lose any sleep over it - GO VIKES!!!

How many home games does he attend a year at the dome?.... He doesn't come for every home game, does he?

Thanks for the memories of the 80s. If only... we still had AC and TK to score TDs. Maybe Tommy can come out of retirement and replace Ponder?

I think the point luzhishen was trying to make was that the average MN worker cannot afford to go to a Vikings game. I would agree with that sentiment. But that is neither here nor there.

Cutesy little drop in the bucket story. Instead, find a few hundred million because the Minnesota taxpayers are NOT going to pay. If there are fans like this guy, Zygi can find more of them to fund his ugly 10 days of use per year stadium.

Try serving that water clear and water tasting US stadium beer at Wembley so those fans can get the FULL NFL experience, right? You'd have a riot requiring the police!

Hooray for fans like Geoff who remain loyal to their teams through thick and thin. I count myself as a fair weather fan and find him inspiring.
