The Twins showed they still have something play for — like being a spoiler.

Twins had more hits and fewer runs. Again, terrible hitting with people on base until the last of the 9th. Not especially good fielding either. Gardy needs to go. And we need players who are not batting .180 to .190. And we need a new pitching coach - pitchers seem to get worse here. Gardy needs to go.

I would comment but the censor-Nazis control this site. Go Twins!

I'm hoping and praying that Pinto is as good as he appears to be. God knows, we can use a few more guys we can rely on for next year.

How many people even go to these games anymore. i forgot they were still playing!

Golly gee, another loss. That makes 93 of them for the season. There are 3 games left. If the Twins lose all three, their record will be exactly the same as last year. And if that's the case, wouldn't that be interesting? One could certainly conclude that things haven't improved very much, couldn't one?

A suggestion to fox north; when the game starts and you put up the batting order when the twins bat, omit the batting averages.

PS... It wasn't that many years ago, that I fought contraction because I thought the twins had a decent nucleus of a team and were decent. I wouldn't fight contraction now.

The twins best player at 2nd base 40 years ago would have been a AAA player at best and yet the Twins charge 'major league'prices!

Let the carnage be over.

Very rarely do I agree with Gardenhire, but to his credit he didn't seem to bite on the "embarrassment" of not winning his 1000 game this season. Pathetically, the whole season has been an embarrassment, and just when the opportunity presented itself for the Twins to try and save some shred of dignity by playing well against contending teams...they are doing what they've always done best under Gardenhire in that situation...roll-over and play dead.
