I would not believe ANYTHING Maturi says. He was the worst AD in Gopher history.

Interesting item about not selling tickets to those postmarked in Iowa. If true and unless Iowa started something like this last year this seems like a classless act and one that an athletic department focused on revenue should not have taken. Was Jerry Kill involved indirectly?

I really like Mitch Leidner's poise. Coach Kill will do a great job with him.

LOL! Iowa State beat Tulsa 38-21 last night. Nice try Sid. The Gophers opponents so far this season also only have ONE win against FBS teams. UNLV - 1 NMSU - 0 W. Illinois - 0 SJSU - 0

I agree with Tom8395. College sports is still supposed to be about sportsmanship. The Iowa fans support their team. If the Gophers want to sell tickets to MN fans only than put a better product on the field and make it a better experience. If true this was one more sad statement about Gopher athletics.

I agree - - Minnesota hasn't exactly played the toughest schedule either. Iowa's lone loss was to a top 25 team. How many top 25 teams has Minnesota played thus far? Nevertheless I am looking forward to a good game tomorrow, should be a hard fought battle. I'm a Hawkeye alumni, but the whole conference benefits from having a tough and competitive Gopher squad. Go Hawks!!

C'mon Sid, the thing about the tickets... better left unsaid. I wouldn't be surprised if many schools employ such tactics but the information is kept in house. I agree with some posters, however; this practice is most likely too wily and inventive for Iowa. Go Gophers!

"...completed only five of 12 passes for 71 yards while rushing 24 times for 151 yards and four touchdowns". Weren't those Ponder stats last week? Who will finish with a higher QB rating? When you're a crappy QB, your legs are all you've got.

Joe Maturi is teaching a class? Only McKinley Boston (or is it Boston McKinley?) would benefit from it. His NMSU team is the only Gopher opponent assured of to go winless. Maturi's claim as a Gopher AD was that he could make Norwood Teague look like an improvement. How's fund-raising for that practice facility going, Norwood? It's not? So you were hired for what reason?
