Went to the game, was so bored, left after the second period. Naturally the only goal scored was a total fluke which by NHL standards is normal. Also, what is up with shoveling the ice every 3 minutes? Back when the North Stars played the games was actually enjoyable to watch.

1991 was a long time ago. Things change. It's okay that they change. Try not to be jaded.

I like to read the comments yearning for the old North Star days. Two problems with that: they left 20 years ago; and in their existence they never won the Cup. Time to move on folks.

Thought the Wild were outplayed. Backs played very good. Outshot badly, and hoping this is not a trend as it was last year, and the year before, etc.

It was a trend last year? In 2013 they out-shot opponents 26 times, were out-shot by them 17 times and were even in shots 5 times. Being out-shot in 1 preseason game does not constitute a trend. The Wild has taken 140 shots this preseason, and has allowed 131.

Please Wild, send Konopka down and sign Steckel! Send Stoner down too and play the youngsters. They're motivated and hungry.

Trade Konopka, Stoner, and a 7th round draft pick for...nothing. I think that is the only way to free up those roster spots and cap space. Both are UFAs after the season and almost certainly not coming back. 0 goals between them last season. They are not needed on a team that needs to score more goals. Buh bye.

ARRey sez: Amazing that every other organ-eye-zation in the NHL is not beating down Fletcher's door inquiring about Konopka. Perhaps it's the bunny rabbit that scares them all off?

Can Leslie and Musgrave suffer a phantom injury too? Having Ponder out helps, but having these two clowns at the helm of the sinking ship will yield similar results.
