Rebuilding the Twins’ rotation will require improvement from within and free-agent spending.

Would a rotation of Pelfrey & Gibson (both 2nd year after Tommy John should be better history dictates?), Deduno, Swarzack (I don't know why they haven't given him a shot again..can't be worse than Hendriks), & Correia excite anyone? I think they need to sign someone in the Hughes, Arroyo, & Santana pool. Garza isn't coming back with this coaching staff in place. I don't trust Deduno. Diamond might be better in long relief.

You can't be serious? Phil Hughes? He's done...Pelfrey done...so many are D O N E. done Joba Chamberlin DONE! Watch what the Yankees get...CC yeh he's got a spot but not many else...and that kid they got from Seattle has yet to really pitch...but the Twins they've got NOTHING...and I mean nothing...so why not bring those young arms up...even Gibson although we keep hearing Terry Ryan say he's not ready who gives a flying rip if they're ready cart amount because that's what you guys were SUPPOSED TO BE developing...

Just another defender or the status quo...hey Phil what did Terry have for breakfest? No one who watched last off season believed Ryan did anything positive for this team , which after 2 + years of his guidenss is now on its last breath, we now have more holes then when he started...fire Ryan FIRE RYAN

“We pursued a bunch of free-agent pitchers last year, and there was a number of them we didn’t get, for whatever reason.” FOR WHATEVER REASON??? FOR WHATEVER REASON???!!! SHOW THEM THE MONEY, CHEAPSKATE!!!!

So the three-part series just wrapping up today basically said this: Twins are bad. Have prospects 2-3 years down the road. None are 1/2 pitchers. Twins have no one to trade. Terry Ryan thinks 7 million is huge money. Doesn't matter because he won't do anything big in free agency. We needed three days to learn what has been the same story every year of Ryan's reign? Ok. Lather, rinse repeat. Alert the media!!! Ryan is cheap, conservative and won't change. Boy this is fun.

Twins 2014 Marketing Slogan. "HEY, ya know we're gonna stink, but at least we have the all-star game".

If you believe Twins G-M Terry Ryan is going to land a quality free-agent starter this offseason, I've got some "oceanfront property in Arizona." The Twins have gone from a moneyball team to the laughing stock sister of MLB with the Houston Astros. They didn't need Francisco Liriano anymore even though he has 16 wins with the playoff-bound Pirates this year. Free-agent starters won't come cheap and Terry Ryan is the cheapest G-M in baseball. Twins owner Jim Pohlad recently said he would give Ryan the money to spend on quality starters, but who believes the Pohlads or Ryan these days??? Minnesota baseball fans have been duped by a franchise benefitting financially from a taxpayer-funded ballpark - and not putting any of those profits back on the roster!!!

The Twins don't have any starters on their major league level with live arms? Gee, I wonder how that happened? Does that have anything to do with a pitch-to-contact philosophy? I wasn't even aware that the Twins were looking for starting pitchers who could strike batters out up to now. I thought that was more of a focus of what the bullpen was supposed to have. We have been mostly using starters who at best are innings eaters. Now someone had some big revelation that the Twins need starters who can strike out batters? I can hardly wait to hear what the next big discovery is.
